Over the past few years, the Lord has used His Word to awaken in my heart and mind the centrality of the family in discipleship & evangelism. The discipleship unit of the church is the family.
I am committed to proclaiming the Gospel of Salvation as broadly as the Lord allows. And I recognize that there needs to be distinct awareness given to the vital role that the family fulfills in that process, according to Scripture. Family-integrated churches are not an inward-focused, “us-only” club. They are Christ-centered congregations who have recognized that one major area of the enemy’s attack is on our families. As well, they intentionally support God’s expressed design for families.
This blog is to serve as a place to gather information about about family-integrated ministries & churches, key people effecting the movement, and some discussion of the ideas and teachings that make this a further reformation of the Bride of Christ in our day. As well, there will be commentary on news items affecting the family and the church.
As a Baptist who is reformed, most writings will be from that perspective. Yet, this is not a “baptist” issue or a “reformed” issue. This is a crisis for every church to reckon with. Would God, He might provide the grace and vision we need to honor Him by reflecting His love to the nations through our families & churches.
Soli Deo Gloria,
Matthew L. Hudson
He you wild out-of-the-closet reformed Baptist!.
Well I’ve been out of the closet since I joined Briarwood. Still in Bham (Alabaster). Wife Julie of nine years and two little girls Rachel 4, Hannah 2, and one more girl on the way. I have a little appraisal business and stay too busy.
